He studied a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Political Sciences in the Universidad Latina of Panama where he graduated as a Lawyer in 1998. He has specialized studies in Criminal Law and Commercial Law from the Universidad Interamericana of Panama (2006-2007). Also, he obtained a Diploma in the new adversarial Accusatory Criminal System in the Universidad Panamericana (2009) and a Diploma in the Preparation and Evaluation of Environmental Impact Studies (2010). He did a Specialization in Criminal Law in the University of Salamanca, Spain (2012), and a Master’s Degree in Superior Education at Universidad del Istmo (2017).
He is a founding member of the Firm Mejia & Asociados from 1998 until now. As such, he has acquired an invaluable experience in handling Criminal, Administrative, Commercial Tax, and Corporate litigations. Prominent trial attorney in these areas.
He served as Legal Director of the Autoridad Nacional del Ambiente (Environment National Authority) during a period of the year 2009.
He was designated by the National Bar Association of Panama (CNA) and sworn as Member of the Management Board of the Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences Institute (IMELCF) for the period of 2013-2017.
He has participated in a variety of Law seminars and trainings, Nationally and Internationally.
